He was honored to serve as the Chief Resident in Orthopaedic Surgery at Massachusetts General Hospital in 1999.

He completed his first fellowship in orthopaedic trauma and was selected to participate in the International AO Trauma Fellowship. During this time, he studied and lectured in Munich, Germany. He completed a hand and microsurgery fellowship at UCLA in 2001. He has focused his practice on hand surgery since 2001.

He is also a Qualified Medical Examiner for the State of California.
